Διεθνή Βραβεία Φωτογραφίας Τοπίου για το 2018
Για πέμπτη συνεχή χρονιά διοργανώθηκαν τα Διεθνή Βραβεία Φωτογραφίας Τοπίου (International Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards) και η πενταμελής επιτροπή ανέδειξε νικητή τον Καναδό Adam Gibbs. Παράλληλα, δημοσίευσε τις καλύτερες φωτογραφίες που απέστειλαν διαγωνιζόμενοι φωτογράφοι απ' όλο τον κόσμο μέσα στο 2018, οι οποίες είναι πραγματικά εντυπωσιακές.
Οι φωτογράφοι τοπίων είναι ιδιαίτερα παθιασμένοι. Κάποιοι επειδή ανακαλύπτουν απομακρυσμένες περιοχές υπό ασυνήθιστες συνθήκες φωτισμού, ενώ κάποιοι άλλοι επειδή χρησιμοποιούν τη φαντασία τους για την τέχνηPETER EASTWAY, ΠΡΌΕΔΡΟΣ ΤΗΣ ΕΠΙΤΡΟΠΉΣ ΤΩΝ ΚΡΙΤΏΝ
Τα βραβεία του διαγωνισμού είναι δύο κύρια (Φωτογράφος της Χρονιάς σε σετ 4 φωτογραφιών και Φωτογράφος της Χρονιάς σε μία φωτογραφία) και πέντε δευτερεύοντα (Sunset/Sunrise. Abstract Aerial, Snow and Ice, Mist and Fog και Exemplary Tree).
Το βραβείο του Φωτογράφου της Χρονιάς σε μία φωτογραφία κατέκτησε ο Paul Marcellini με αυτήν που έχει τίτλο "Autumnal Abstract". Ο ίδιος δήλωσε πως την έχει επεξεργαστεί ελάχιστα μετά τη λήψη της, με τον σουρεαλιστικό χρωματισμό να έχει γίνει σχεδόν εξολοκλήρου επάνω στην κάμερα που χρησιμοποίησε.
Στον διαγωνισμό συμμετείχαν 3000 φωτογράφοι και επελέγησαν 101 εικόνες.
